Hello, I'm Bree, a passionate and dedicated massage therapist. My journey into the world of massage therapy has been a deeply personal and transformative one, rooted in the desire to make a positive impact on people's lives and well-being. After a fulfilling 10 year career in the medical field working in orthopaedics and sports medicine, I had a profound desire to be more hands on and one on one with people which fueled my decision to transition into massage therapy. I've always believed that the human body has an incredible capacity to heal itself when given the right support and care to nurture its own biochemical environment.
After working alongside some incredibly intelligent sports medicine physicians and assisting extremely talented and skilled orthopaedic surgeons throughout my career, I aspired to be involved in injury prevention, management and recovery by utilizing more hands-on techniques like massage in lieu of more invasive approaches such as injections and surgery. I also loved the idea that I could contribute to someone's overall health, especially their mental health, and well being with the mindful and intentional touch of massage.
As I have delved deeper into the world of massage, it continues to expand my understanding of the incredible potential it holds. Not only does massage have the power to alleviate physical discomfort and pain, but it can also address emotional and mental stress, providing a holistic approach to wellness. This growing knowledge only continues to ignite my passion to pursue further knowledge in the field. In my short 3 year career, I have embarked on several different training programs to learn the art of and science behind several different massage techniques. As a result, I have accumulated numerous certifications in various techniques and modalities including myofascial decompression, basic and advanced manual lymphatic drainage, myofascial decompression via cupping and medical massage. In addition, my experience in massage has also led me to explore various other holistic health practices including meditation, yoga and breathwork. I am a 200hr certified yoga instructor and am currently enrolled in a 100hr meditation teacher training.Â
Whether it is pain relief, stress-reduction, or relaxation, it is incredibly rewarding to witness positive transformations in clients as a result of our massage sessions. I believe that true healing encompasses not only the physical, but also the emotional and spiritual aspects of a person. Through compassionate listening and tailored massage sessions, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where my clients can experience profound relaxation, rejuvenation, restoration and recovery.
